Fantastic night of Punk, got my pictures in from the developer and i love the black and white stuff. Some of my color came out well for Melt Banana as well.
This one needed a little more exposure comp but here it is aready.
Then some from a few other bands this night and the next. First off Triclops!!
They had some good energy and that singer was fricking crazy!!
I like the ones of the drummer from Heart Shaped Heart! With a Unicorn Basement Teeshirt on!!
Then a fun mistake from The hidden Cameras!!
Tonight I'm heading to watch the Star Wars Holiday Special at Bryant Lake Bowl and then go see some shows at Sauce, Claps, Zombie Season, and the Funeral and the Twilight.

A day of Storming and warm melodies.
So kicked off Tuesday by heading to 1st ave for the 30th Annual John Lennon Tribute Show to snap a few, the film shots will be dealt with next week. They were honestly good, but i miss the beautiful costumes from last year's Rock the Cause, they would have rocked last tuesday. Here:
But instead of we have a packed house full of local talent, new eager listeners and people who have always believed in the music. Everyone was spectacular both in kindness and in enthusiasm. I was only there long enough for a few songs before Erik Hess and myself headed out for some calmer crowds and local flavor at the Turf Club, which was fantastic. Thanks to all who made it thru the snow for these great shows...
First Ave
then off to the Turf Club! Ladies and Gentlemen, the Dirty Colors! Of course they had a few other bands opening for them. They were Is/Is and Telepathos. Both great bands. Photos sent off to development, back next week on my flickr.

Air Guitar Contest at Bootleggers Downtown with the NSRG!
It's December 3rd and so I came downtown and didn't really know what to expect. I knew it involved North Star Roller Girls, Booze, Air Guitar and prizes. Cost ya a little bit to get up there but it was worth it. Not much of a turn out, blame the cold weather, but it was spectacular. One thing though, Eddie Van Halen Rocks!! One more thing! So Does Tony Danza!!
All good sports thru it all. I totally forgot who won since I was on my way to another show, which I'll put up later... hehe

From December 2nd @ the Entry
The Hidden Cameras with openers Gentlemen Reg. Best quote came from the city pages, "gay church folk music."
Gentlemen Reg
Then I think that this band opened for everyone and i forgot who this was... wrote it down somewhere but lost that piece of paper, hehehe. I saw them before so they have to be local. No wait I do have it, they are called Farewell Milwaukee.

From last Tuesday at the Entry... things will eventually get some order but for now.
Alright, I had to go see Melt Banana after the last time a friend and I just happened upon them at a show at the Entry. So they are back to the Entry with a few other bands who were fantastic. MB is super charged japanese punk. It was something else to see these nice, totally awesome girls (one guy, drummer) go at it full throttle. A little terrifying to have these diminutive girls blowing away your ear drums.... so much fun!
Before them was a way intense band named Triclops. The singer was restless like energetic like panther in a butcher shop. I have more film shots that will be put up on flickr later on this week that have him climbing the ceiling above the crowd. But he crowd surfed like a half dozen times! The band was always spot on. Next time i will have ear plugs.
Then the first openers were a female duet, Heart Shaped Hate, with key boards and drums. They had some awesome fans!!
The mosh pitt was the most pit but think im getting a bit to old for it. I was a defensive line back trying to keep the surge away from me camera but i was over doing i think, sorry kids. I had to many things go wrong by not paying attention to the pitt though... live and learn.

The last week for me... busy busy busy
Gospel Gossip at Sauce this last wednesday. Fantastic band and would love to go see them again.
I really loved seeing the Red Pens though who opened right before them. The drummer was my main subject since she was just so good on the drum kit! She had so many fans!
Opening for all of them were Zoo Aniimal who reminded me of Eddie Breckel, beautiful voice.

Day one...
Thought I would finally get this ball rolling. Starting a small thing about what I usually do all the time. Go out into the city and find some great things to photograph. Keeping this nice and easy for now but it will be a place to tag back with photos and thoughts about the night when I can.
For right now kinda taking a break. Been getting way into getting photos rather than more time editing. Either way I was taking my self way to serious as well. I need to just relax sometimes and watch instead of getting a good picture. There are other fantastic shooters out there that do great work and while this is a passionate hobby I shouldn't let my love over take me to much. It's a lot of great fun. Being a part of the crowd is just as fun as well.
So for the most part I've been shooting quite a bit lately. Being single makes for more time and sometimes to much time. So much time, in fact, that I wore out my shutter on my E3 the other week. The thing stopped syncing and the shutter would get stuck in the exposure. So she's in for repairs and should be back soon. For now, shooting Film with my Contax G2 and my Leica M6. Also been using my Leica Dlux-4 as well, mostly with a off camera flash.
Okay time for other things right now. It's super chilly out and I disdain the thought of running around right now. Though I have seen other people out on bikes. They're crazy... hahaha... Ciao!
